Alley Open Mic brings performers of all kinds to the outdoor Thorn Alley Stage, a series presented by The Smiley House Project and GoggleWorks Center for the Arts. Singing, rapping, comedy, poetry, dance, and other creative expressions are all welcome, in any language.

Time slots are first come, first serve, so bring something you have been working on or simply settle in and watch what the evening turns up. Performances need to be family friendly and acoustic or playable through a Bluetooth speaker, since amps are not part of the setup. Doors open at 5:45 PM and performances run until 8 PM. If the weather turns, the open mic moves indoors to Thorn Alley Kitchen.

Refreshments are available for purchase from Thorn Alley Kitchen, making this an easy stop for anyone who wants a relaxed night of local talent in downtown Reading.
