Alvernia Pack Dash 5K
Sun, Oct 11, 10:00 AM · 465 Saint Bernardine Street, Reading

About the event
The Pack Dash 5K brings runners and walkers to Alvernia University's Hill Campus for a morning loop through one of Reading's prettiest stretches of ground. The course starts and finishes at the Flynn PLEX and takes participants past campus landmarks and out toward neighboring Angelica Park and the Berks Nature grounds, so it works just as well for a first 5K as it does for someone chasing a time.
The race is part of Alvernia's Homecoming and Family Weekend, which means students, alumni, families and neighbors from the surrounding South Reading blocks all end up on the same starting line. Proceeds support the university's Hope Fund and Clare's Cupboard, the campus pantry that helps students facing food insecurity.
Pretzel City Sports handles the timing. Awards go to the top male and female finishers, with medals for the fastest three in each age group. Parking and the start area are both at 465 Saint Bernardine Street, and spectators are welcome to cheer from the finish.
Hosted by Alvernia University on BerksConnect.
