California Dreams
October 9, 2026 · 7:30 PM · Miller Center for the Arts, 4 N 2nd Street, Reading

About the event
The music of California's Laurel Canyon scene comes to the Miller Center stage when Dan Clews and Phoebe Katis present California Dreams. The show gathers songs made famous by The Eagles, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Linda Ronstadt, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, The Mamas & the Papas and other artists who shaped the sound of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
This is more than a straight run of hits. Produced by Night Owl Shows, the evening links each song to the next with stories about the songwriters and the small stretch of Los Angeles hillside where so many of them lived, wrote and borrowed ideas from one another. Clews has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, and Katis is a UK artist now based in New York whose credits include work with Cory Wong, Scary Pockets and Dave Koz.
Expect plenty of familiar choruses for anyone who grew up with these records, along with background that even longtime fans may not have heard. Free parking is available in the RACC flat student lots on a first-come, first-served basis. Student Lot A on Front Street, next to the Yocum Library at 30 South Front Street, is the closest flat lot to the venue.
