Nolde Forest Environmental Education Center opens its doors for ¡Casa abierta!, an afternoon celebrating Hispanic heritage in Berks County. The event brings the community together on the grounds of one of Reading's best loved green spaces, where shaded trails, streams, and the historic mansion set the scene for an afternoon of culture and connection.
The gathering is built around welcome, which is what the name suggests: an open house where neighbors can drop in, spend time outdoors, and share in the traditions, language, and culture of Hispanic and Latino communities in the region. Staff and partners will be on hand to greet visitors and help them get comfortable in the park.
Admission is free, and the setting works well for families, first time visitors to Nolde Forest, and anyone curious about what the center offers. Comfortable shoes are a good idea if you plan to walk any of the trails while you are there.
