CASA of Berks County brings its Gala of Light to Building 24 in Wyomissing, an evening built around the volunteers and advocates who stand up for children in foster care. The program honors Judge Arthur Grim (Ret.) with the Visionary Award and recognizes Berks Hearing Officer Narcy Hughes with the Champion for Children Award.
The Ortiz family, who adopted Lucian and Alex, return as special guests for a Forever Family Celebration, putting a face to the work the organization does every day. Guests can expect appetizers from Building 24, live music, an art auction presented by the Berks Art Alliance, and a spread of silent auction items.
It is a night of good company and shared purpose, and the support raised helps CASA continue advocating for some of the county's most vulnerable young people. Anyone curious about child advocacy in Berks will find plenty of reason to come out.
