WhereGrill Then Chill, 400 Woodward Avenue, Reading

The Allentown Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and the brothers of the Omega Xi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated host an afternoon and evening of fried chicken, music, and good company at Grill Then Chill on Woodward Avenue in Reading. The gathering runs from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a full chicken dinner served in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

Proceeds support scholarships and the chapters' ongoing community programs. Both organizations are part of the historically Black fraternity and sorority tradition known for service work, mentorship, and helping local students continue their education, so a plate of chicken here goes toward something lasting in Berks and the surrounding region.

It is a straightforward way to spend a Saturday evening: a warm meal, music playing, and neighbors sharing a table for a cause that stays close to home. Tickets are arranged in advance rather than at the door, so plan ahead if you would like to join.
