Borough Hall in West Reading is closed on Monday, October 12, 2026 in observance of Columbus Day. Residents who planned to stop by for permits, utility questions, code matters, or other administrative business should plan around the closure and visit on the next regular business day.

Essential services continue through the holiday. If you need police assistance or you have a sewer backup, call the after-hours non-emergency line at 610-373-0111 and the dispatcher will arrange for Borough personnel to contact you. As always, use 911 for emergencies.

It is a good day to enjoy the neighborhood at a slower pace, whether that means a walk along the Penn Avenue shops or time outdoors with family before the week picks up again.
