About the event
Reading Coffee Company opens its Birdsboro shop for an evening focused on the craft behind a well poured latte. Beverage Director John Cappelletti leads the session, starting with a short talk on the science of steaming milk before everyone moves into hands on practice at the machines.
The class covers milk texture, basic pouring shapes, working with alternative milks, common mistakes and how to correct them, and more advanced patterns once the fundamentals click. It wraps up with an open discussion and question period, so bring whatever you have been wondering about your setup at home.
It suits home baristas who want professional level instruction, anyone who received an espresso machine and wants to make the most of it, and coffee lovers still deciding whether a machine belongs on their counter. No equipment or supplies are needed. Because the workshop involves hot liquids, steam, and heated tools, closed toe shoes and practical clothing are recommended, and participants should let the instructor know about any allergies, sensitivities, or physical limitations beforehand.
