Empowered Leadership Conference
September 24, 2026 · 9:00 AM · DoubleTree by Hilton Reading, 701 Penn St · $100

About the event
Dr. Maiysha Clairborne leads a full day built for people who guide teams and serve others. A board-certified physician, executive leadership coach, and organizational consultant, she works with healthcare groups, businesses, and nonprofits on trauma-informed leadership, emotional intelligence, psychological safety, and burnout prevention, blending neuroscience with practical application.
The day is organized around three workshops. One looks at chronic stress, compassion fatigue, and secondary trauma, with strategies for restoring resilience. Another examines how trust and psychological safety shape communication, teamwork, and workplace culture. The third introduces the R.E.M.A.P. framework for turning insight into collective care and collaboration. Each session mixes instruction, discussion, reflection, and hands-on exercises.
Participants can expect to practice listening techniques that deepen connection, learn questions that open up candid dialogue, and leave with a framework they can apply at work and at home. The conference is aimed at community-serving leaders and professionals across nonprofits, education, social and human services, public health, healthcare, and government. It runs from 9:00 AM at the DoubleTree on Penn Street in downtown Reading.
