End Polio Now: Pinkie Promise – Pints for Polio Happy Hour
October 7, 2026 · 5:30 PM · Pagoda City Brewing, 101 N. Carroll St., Reading · $20 – $25

About the event
The Rotary Club of West Reading-Wyomissing hosts a happy hour at Pagoda City Brewing in Reading as World Polio Day approaches, bringing neighbors together around a global health effort that Rotary members have supported for generations. Polio remains in only a few corners of the world, but organizers point out that a single case anywhere can put children everywhere at risk, which is why the final stretch of the campaign still needs local support.
The evening is built for easy conversation. Admission includes a four-pack of Pinkie Promise to take home, and there will be a cash bar plus a food truck on site, so you can stop in after work, meet the people behind the local Rotary effort, and learn how District 7430 clubs fit into the worldwide push to end polio.
It is a relaxed way to spend a Wednesday evening in Reading while supporting a cause with a long history in Berks County. Rotary sums up the campaign simply: a promise made, a promise kept, a promise nearly fulfilled.
