The Berks Art Alliance holds its open juried exhibition in the Cohen East Gallery at GoggleWorks, and this evening reception is the public celebration of the work that made the cut. Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the awards presentation beginning at 6:30 PM.
The juried show gathers work by regional artists across a range of media, including painting, photography, and sculpture, with space for both emerging and established makers. Awards recognize standouts in categories such as portraiture, still life, and floral work, and sponsors include the Garden Club of Reading, the Yocum Institute for Arts Education, and Art Plus Gallery. The exhibition stays up in the gallery for the rest of the month, so the reception is the night to see it alongside the artists themselves.
The Berks Art Alliance is a fellowship of artists, professional and amateur, supporting visual arts in Berks County since 1941, and its open juried show dates back to 1977.
