About the event
JCWK Dance Lab teams up with Alvernia University for the Summer Dance Series for Adults, a nine-week program built for studio teachers, college students, and anyone curious about stepping into a dance studio for the first time. Classes come with different level options and times, so you can pick what fits your experience and your schedule.
The series moves through a range of styles across its three parts. Beginning Jazz with Jessica Warchal-King and Intermediate Contemporary with Arielle Ridley open things up, followed by Beginning Modern and Floor Work with Megan Zalek, then Beginning Ballet with Sarena Gable and Warchal-King alongside Flamenco with Amanda Pena. Each class is led by professional dancers and educators who focus on the joy and connection that come with moving together.
JCWK Dance Lab is a Berks County based contemporary dance company that combines education, dance practice, and performance, and Warchal-King serves as a lecturer and artist in residence in dance at Alvernia. Wear something you can move in and come ready to try.
