About the event
Historic Crystal Cave opens its passages after dark for a walk guided by hand held lantern light. Guides in Victorian clothing present the cave much the way visitors would have experienced it on the original tour in the 1870s, when a lantern was the only thing standing between you and the dark.
The route covers the spooky and sinister side of the property: curious and unexplained incidents reported inside the cave and on the cave grounds during the 1800s, plus accounts from more recent years. These are stories that are not part of the regular daytime cavern tour, so even repeat visitors will hear something new.
The tour is set up as family entertainment, with history and local lore mixed together, and each guest takes home a souvenir Crystal Cave lantern. Plan for uneven natural footing underground and dress for cave temperatures.
Hosted by Crystal Cave on BerksConnect.
