Ghost Stories of Boyertown with Charles J. Adams III

About the event
Boyertown has its share of stories that get passed along in whispers, and this evening at Chestnut Knoll brings them into the open. Author Charles J. Adams III visits to present "Ghost Stories of Boyertown," an hour of local tales about the spirits said to linger in the borough's homes, businesses, and old corners.
Adams is a familiar voice in these parts. A Reading native, he self-published his first collection, Ghost Stories of Berks County, in 1982 with his wife, Theresa, and he has since written widely on local legends for the Reading Eagle and spoken at paranormal conferences around the region. He has a storyteller's ear for the detail that makes a familiar street feel a little different on the walk home.
The program runs from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Chestnut Knoll on West Fifth Street, and guests are welcome to get a photo with the author afterward. It makes an easy October outing for neighbors, history buffs, and anyone who likes a good spine-tingler close to home.
