Local historian Alexa Freyman brings her aerial view of Berks County to the Heritage Center on Sunday afternoon. An FAA licensed drone pilot and the creator of the Berks Nostalgia blog, she has spent years documenting the county's architecture and hyper local stories through writing, photography, and footage shot from above.

Her talk looks at the beauty in the county's historic buildings and asks how closely the good old days match the way we remember them. If you have ever wondered about the places you drive past every week, or what a familiar rooftop looks like from a few hundred feet up, this is a chance to see them from a fresh angle and hear the research behind them.

The Berks County Heritage Center sits along the Tulpehocken Creek near Wertz's Covered Bridge and the Gruber Wagon Works, so the setting matches the subject. The program is presented by Berks County Parks and Recreation, and seats are set aside in advance, so plan to register before you come.
