History Hike at the Daniel Boone Homestead
September 26, 2026 · 9:00 AM · Daniel Boone Homestead, 400 Daniel Boone Road, Birdsboro

About the event
Lace up your walking shoes for a morning hike through the grounds of the Daniel Boone Homestead in Birdsboro. The site sits on a stretch of Oley Township countryside where the Boone family settled, and a guided walk is one of the better ways to take in the landscape, the historic buildings, and the stories tied to this corner of Berks County.
The hike is part of the Berks Trail Challenge, a countywide push that runs from spring into late October and encourages residents to get out and explore local trails. The Homestead's morning walk gives participants a chance to add a historic site to their trail list while learning about the land they are crossing.
The walk begins at 9 a.m. and runs about an hour. Dress for the weather and the terrain, and plan to arrive with time to park and gather before the group sets out.
