Intro to Espresso Class

About the event
Reading Coffee Company opens up the bar in Birdsboro for a hands-on look at espresso, led by Beverage Director John Cappelletti. The evening starts with a short talk on espresso as a brewing method, then moves into workflow and training on the shop's equipment, so you get to work with the gear rather than just watch.
Much of the session focuses on tasting and dialing in a shot, with guidance you can carry back to a machine at home. It suits home baristas who want professional instruction, anyone who has a machine and wants to get more out of it, and people still deciding whether a home setup is worth it. Time is set aside for questions, and participants go home with a few gifts.
There is nothing to bring. Because the workshop involves hot equipment, water, and steam, closed-toe shoes and sensible clothing are recommended, and the instructor should be told about any allergies, sensitivities, or physical limitations beforehand. Tasting discard cups are available for anyone sensitive to caffeine.
