About the event
The Yocum Institute for Arts Education hosts an evening of karaoke built for teens and adults with developmental delays, along with their families. Everyone gathers to socialize and sing through a wide range of songs in a comfortable, welcoming setting.
Participants pick their own songs and can perform along with a karaoke track, or with live accompaniment when the facilitator knows the tune. Singing alone, with a friend, or as part of a group all work, and listening and cheering are just as welcome as taking the microphone.
The gathering begins at 5:30 PM at 3000 Penn Avenue in West Lawn.
