About the event
Reading Coffee Company opens its Birdsboro shop for an evening workshop devoted to the craft of latte art, led by beverage director John Cappelletti. The session starts with a short talk on the science behind steaming milk, then moves quickly into hands-on practice at the machine.
Participants work through the fundamentals of milk texture and pouring technique, take a look at the mistakes that commonly trip people up, and build toward more complex patterns. Alternative milks are part of the conversation too, and the class closes with an open discussion and question period. Everything you need is provided, so there is nothing to bring along.
It suits home baristas who want professional-level guidance, anyone who has an espresso machine sitting on the counter and wants to get more from it, and coffee drinkers still deciding whether a home setup makes sense for them. Because the workshop involves hot equipment, steam, and hot liquids, closed-toe shoes and practical clothing are recommended, and the instructor should be told in advance about any allergies, sensitivities, or physical limitations.
