Nature Journaling
September 6, 2026 · 4:00 PM · Berks Leisure Area, 1901 Tulpehocken Road · Free; geared toward ages 16 and up; registration required

About the event
Set aside an afternoon to slow down and pay attention to what is growing and moving around you. This workshop session centers on nature journaling, a practice that pairs quiet observation with writing and drawing, and it introduces simple ways to build mindfulness into time spent outdoors.
Participants are asked to bring a book to work in along with any writing and coloring supplies they enjoy using, whether that means pens, pencils, markers, or watercolor. A limited number of journals will be available on site for anyone who needs one. No previous art or writing experience is expected, and the focus stays on your own observations rather than a finished product.
The session is geared toward ages 16 and up, so it suits adults and older teens looking for a calm, creative way to spend part of the day. Registration is required, and space is limited by the supplies on hand.
