Santa and Mrs. Claus come to The Reading Public Museum for a morning built around photos, crafts, and holiday traditions from around the world. Families can visit with both, take pictures, and make festive crafts that children carry home the same day.
While you explore the galleries and wait your turn, snacks and coupons from the event sponsors help pass the time. Community groups will be on hand with the "Yuletide Around the World" tree displays, decorated to share winter customs from cultures near and far, and happy to talk about the meaning behind what they have put together.
Museum Educators lead the day alongside those community partners, so the celebration covers Christmas and a wider range of seasonal traditions in one visit. Local groups interested in decorating a tree for the display can reach out to the Museum at lauren.kehres@readingpublicmuseum.org.
