About the event

WhenSeptember 25, 2026 · Showings at 5:30, 6:45 and 8:00 PM
WhereThe Neag Planetarium, 500 Museum Road, Reading

The Neag Planetarium hosts a fulldome presentation built around Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon, with all ten tracks of the album playing in order while 360 degree visuals wrap across the dome above you. Some of the imagery draws on the band's history, while other sequences imagine something further ahead, and the whole thing was produced by NSC Creative in collaboration with Aubrey Powell of Hipgnosis, the band's longtime creative director.

This is a seated, immersive experience rather than a live performance, and the planetarium dome gives the music room to open up in a way home speakers cannot match. It suits longtime Floyd listeners and anyone curious about what an album sounds like when it is paired with visuals designed for a dome. Note that the production uses fast flickering light transitions, so guests sensitive to flickering light may want to keep that in mind.

Showings run at 5:30, 6:45 and 8:00 PM. The planetarium sits in its own building on the Reading Public Museum campus at 500 Museum Road, so allow a little extra time for parking and for finding your way to the right entrance.
