About the event

WhenSeptember 27, 2026 · Showings at 5:30, 6:45 and 8:00 PM
WhereThe Neag Planetarium, 500 Museum Road, Reading

The Neag Planetarium turns its dome into a full surround canvas for Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon, an immersive audio visual presentation of the album from start to finish. All ten tracks play in sequence, matched to 360 degree imagery that wraps around the room and moves with the music, some of it drawing on the band's own visual history and some of it looking somewhere new entirely.

The show comes from the team at NSC Creative working with Aubrey Powell of Hipgnosis, Pink Floyd's longtime creative director, so the look of the piece connects directly to the artwork and stagecraft the band became known for. Sound and visuals are built for a planetarium dome rather than a flat screen, which makes this a different experience from listening at home.

Showings are at 5:30, 6:45 and 8:00 PM. The planetarium sits in its own building on the Reading Public Museum campus at 500 Museum Road, so allow a little time to park and find your seat before the doors close. The production uses no strobe effects, though there are some quick flickering light transitions worth knowing about in advance.
