About the event

WhereReading Coffee Company, 316 W Main Street, Birdsboro

Reading Coffee Company opens its Birdsboro shop for a hands-on pour over workshop led by Beverage Director John Cappelletti. The evening starts with a look at the equipment, then moves into technique, with attention to the small habits that shape the cup. From there it is a walk through the variables that matter, including how each one changes what ends up in your mug.

Most of the time is spent brewing. The group works through a number of coffees together, compares notes on what everyone tastes, and finishes with a question and answer stretch plus a few parting gifts. It suits anyone starting out with a dripper at home, longtime brewers chasing a better result, and experienced hands looking to sharpen what they already do well.

Everything you need is provided, though you are welcome to bring your own gear if you would rather practice on familiar equipment. The class involves hot water, steam, and tools that get warm, so closed-toe shoes and practical clothing are a good idea, and the instructor should hear about any allergies, sensitivities, or physical limitations before brewing begins.
