GoggleWorks opens the second and third floors for a self guided studio crawl, inviting visitors into the working spaces where its studio artists spend their time. You set your own pace through the hallways, taking in the artwork on display outside the studios and stopping wherever something catches your eye.
Artists are encouraged to be in their studios from noon to 4:00 PM, so this is a good window to say hello, ask about a piece, and hear how the work comes together. Conversations happen naturally here, and part of the fun is discovering a medium or a maker you had not encountered before.
Bring family or a friend, or come on your own and meet a few neighbors along the way. It is a relaxed Sunday afternoon in downtown Reading and an easy introduction to the creative community working inside the building.
