GoggleWorks opens the second and third floors for a self guided studio crawl, giving visitors a look inside the working spaces of the artists who create there. Wander the hallways at your own pace, take in the artwork on display outside the studios, and step in to see what is on the bench or the easel.
Artists are encouraged to be in their studios from noon to 4:00 PM, so this is a good window to meet the people behind the work, ask about their process, and talk through what goes into a piece. The mix spans a range of media and styles, and every floor has something different to find.
Bring family or a friend, or come on your own and strike up a conversation. It is a relaxed way to spend a Sunday afternoon downtown and see the creative work happening in the middle of Reading.
