About the event
Begin the morning at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary with a yoga session presented in partnership with local studio YOGA B YOGA. The practice unfolds in a temperature controlled indoor space with a wide view of the surrounding landscape, so you can settle into your breath in comfort while the mountain scenery sits right in front of you.
The setting is part of the appeal. Founded in 1934 by conservationist Rosalie Edge, Hawk Mountain is the world's first refuge for birds of prey, and it sits along the Kittatinny Ridge, protecting thousands of acres of forest within a major raptor migration corridor. A late November morning here is a quiet one, which makes it a fitting time to slow down and pay attention.
Bring your own mat and give yourself extra time to arrive, park, and get settled before the session begins. Every level of experience is welcome, including those trying yoga for the first time, and the group stays small so the space feels calm from start to finish.
