Sunday brunch at Doc and Bubba's brings a relaxed start to the day in the hills outside Mohnton. The brunch menu runs from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and live music follows from noon to 3:00 pm, so you can settle in over a plate and a coffee and stay for the set. If you are arriving later in the day, the kitchen keeps going until 7:00 pm and the bar stays open until 8:00 pm.
The restaurant was opened by Jim and Deb Radwanski, and the building has a long history as a gathering spot along the backroads south of Reading. The outdoor patio looks out over the surrounding hills and valley, and heat lamps keep it usable year round, which makes it a good choice for a cool October morning.
Expect a casual, welcoming room with an upscale menu of American dishes, cocktails, and brunch standards. Reservations are a good idea on weekends.
