The Reading Public Museum opens its galleries for an evening designed for adults, with the lights low and the daytime crowds gone. Guests move through the collections at their own pace, with food and non-alcoholic drinks included and a bar available for those who want it.
This October edition leans into the season with a Halloween costume contest, so come dressed if you like. The night also brings hands-on crafts, games, and short programs and lectures built for grown-up curiosity, all in a setting that encourages wandering and good conversation.
It is an easy way to see a familiar Berks County institution from a different angle, whether you visit often or have not been in years. The museum sits on Museum Road just off Route 10, with parking on site.
