WhereThe Reading Public Museum, 500 Museum Road, Reading

The Reading Public Museum opens its galleries for a morning of Halloween trick-or-treating built for younger visitors. Museum Educators and community partners set up treat stations throughout the exhibit spaces, so children move from gallery to gallery collecting goodies while the art, science, and history displays surround them along the way.

Along with treats, kids pick up Halloween and fall themed crafts to carry home, plus snacks and coupons contributed by event sponsors. Costumes fit right in, and the indoor setting makes for a comfortable, low-stress way for families with small children to enjoy the season.

This one runs in the morning at the museum on Museum Road in Reading, a good option for families who want their Halloween fun early in the day.
