Free Walk-In Pregnancy Tests From Berks Community Health Center
Berks Community Health Center (BCHC) gives free pregnancy testing at all of its health center locations. You do not need an appointment, and you do not have to be a BCHC patient.
This is for anyone who thinks they might be pregnant. No other rule about who qualifies is listed.
Walk in and ask for a free pregnancy test at the front desk, and staff will take care of you. If you are pregnant, BCHC will refer you for early prenatal care so you and your baby have the best chance to be healthy. BCHC advises starting prenatal care during the first three months.
Three BCHC locations are listed with hours: BCHC at Penn Street, Mon-Fri: 8 AM, 6 PM; BCHC at Rockland, Mon, Fri: 8 AM, 6 PM; and BCHC at Oakbrook, Mon, Fri: 8 AM, 6 PM. Testing is offered at all of the health center's locations, and BCHC also refers to having four locations, so call 610-988-4838 to check which site is closest to you. The pregnancy test itself is free. The page does not say what prenatal care or other visits cost after the test; in describing its children's health services, BCHC says it accepts all forms of insurance, including CHIP and Medicaid, and offers a sliding fee discount program for those (with or without insurance) who have income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Ask at the front desk about costs for your own care.
