Peer Support is meant to complement other mental health services, not replace them, and to strengthen a person's overall recovery journey.

A Certified Peer Specialist meets with you one-on-one out in the community. The work centers on building trust, connection and hope through shared experience, and the services are guided by the person receiving support, so the path is personalized. Peer Specialists are trained in Personal Medicine, Whole Health, Power Statements, Decision Support, Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) and Peer Group Services.

For more information, email mhservices@trsinc.org or call 610-777-7691. The program page also links a Referral and Recommendation Form you can download, though it does not say who fills it out or where to send it. Threshold Rehabilitation Services is at 1000 Lancaster Avenue, Reading, Pennsylvania 19607, and 610-777-7691 is also the organization's general number for questions.

The page gives few other details. It does not say what the program costs, how often or how long you meet, what hours it runs, or which counties it serves, so ask when you get in touch.
