Read to a Therapy Dog at Brandywine Community Library
Starts Sat, Oct 17, 11:00 AM · Free
About the class
Children can practice their reading skills with a listener who is always happy to hear a story. A therapy dog visits the Brandywine Community Library, and young readers are welcome to read aloud to the dog or simply sit and give it a cuddle.
Reading to a calm, patient animal takes the pressure off, which makes it a comfortable way for kids to build confidence with books. Readers may bring a book they are working on or choose one at the library.
The program takes place at the library at 60 Tower Drive in Topton. A spot must be reserved ahead of time, so please call or email the library to sign up.
