About the class
In this class at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, you design and build your own fused glass lantern. You cut glass, learn safety practices in the studio, and work through the glass fusing process. The instructor walks you through design choices and how to assemble the glass pieces onto a metal lantern frame.
The class runs over two sessions, November 23 and 24, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. It is open to all skill levels and is meant for teens ages 14 and up and adults. Sessions meet in the Fusing Studio in Building 6 at GoggleWorks, 201 Washington St in Reading. Closed-toe shoes are required, so plan your footwear before you arrive.
