Make Your Own Glassblown Ornament at Handcrafted Holiday Market
Starts Sat, Dec 5 · $50.00 · Ages 14 and up
About the workshop
GoggleWorks' Handcrafted Holiday Market is a pop-up shop where artists and makers sell handmade gifts for the holiday season. Along with the shopping, you can make your own gift in the Glassblowing Studio with help from GoggleWorks' professional artists.
Glassblowing is the art of shaping a mass of glass that has been softened by heat by blowing air into it through a tube. In this workshop you shape your own ornament with an instructor beside you. It is a single short session, open to all skill levels, and it is held in the Glassblowing Studio, Building 5. Bundles of three holiday workshops are also offered if you want to make more than one gift.
Expect a few days of turnaround time before your finished piece is ready. The Programs Department will email you when your ornament can be picked up. The workshop is for ages 14 and up. Sign up through the GoggleWorks class page.
