This intermediate class turns the Thorn Alley Kitchen at GoggleWorks into a sketching studio. Working on the first floor of the building, students draw and paint the scene around them as it moves, using a mix of water based and dry sketch media. Instructor Zoungy Kligge leads the sessions.
The class meets Wednesdays from 6 PM to 9 PM for three sessions at GoggleWorks, 201 Washington St, Reading. It is open to teens and adults ages 14 and up, and some prior painting or drawing experience is expected.
Bring your own sketch materials and a sturdy sketch journal with watercolor or mixed media paper. Pencils, pens, artist's crayons and small travel watercolor kits all work well. Because the room is an operating restaurant, keep supplies compact and tidy. Register through the GoggleWorks class page. Registration closes five business days before the first session, and students under 18 need written permission from a parent or guardian.
