In this sewing class at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, students make a Japanese cross-back apron, a slip-on style that works well for cooking, crafting or giving as a gift. The project is set up to build sewing confidence while producing something you can use.
The class is aimed at intermediate sewers and confident beginners, so you should come in with basic sewing skills. It runs on Thursdays from 6 PM to 9 PM across three sessions, and it meets in the Textiles Studio, room 316, on the third floor of the GoggleWorks campus at 201 Washington St in Reading. The instructor is bilingual in English and Spanish. Check the class page for any supplies you need to bring.
Registration is handled through the GoggleWorks class page. Registration closes five business days before the first session, and students under 18 enrolled in an adult course need written permission from a parent or guardian, which GoggleWorks provides by email. Scholarships are available through GoggleWorks.
