About the workshop
Learn about glassblowing in this two part workshop and make an original beverage glass of your own. The making session meets on a Wednesday evening in the Glassblowing Studio, Building 5, on the GoggleWorks campus. All skill levels are welcome, and a GoggleWorks instructor leads the class.
Your glass needs time to cool, so you pick it up afterward at Thorn Alley Kitchen. That is where the second half of the workshop takes place, on a Sunday afternoon, with a demonstration and a wine tasting led by the bartender. Because of the tasting, this workshop is for ages 21 and over only.
Wear closed-toe shoes and bring a hair tie; both are required in the hot shop. Sign up online through GoggleWorks, and note that registration closes five business days before the class begins. Groups of four or more can also ask GoggleWorks about booking a private hands-on glassblowing workshop.
