November Flameworking Maker Date
Starts Fri, Nov 20, 6:00 PM · $100.00

About the workshop
This is a one evening flameworking workshop at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, set up as a date night. You and your date work with torches and hand tools to melt and shape glass, and you see how heat and gravity work together to form a small glass piece. Instructor Joe Estis leads the session, which is open to all skill levels. The class meets in the Flameworking Studio in Building 6 at 201 Washington Street in Reading, on Friday from 6 to 8 PM for one session.
The evening includes a shared charcuterie spread put together by Chef Harley and your choice of a draft beverage from Thorn Alley Kitchen. Wear closed toe shoes and natural fabrics such as cotton, and tie back long hair before you enter the studio. Tuition covers one person, so each person attending needs their own registration.
At checkout you can also add a multi course dinner at Thorn Alley Kitchen before the workshop, or a supervised drop off session with dinner and a craft for your child in a youth classroom. Both add ons require registration in advance. Sign up at goggleworks.org, and note that registration closes five business days before the class starts.
