Short Story Creative Writing Workshop for Adults
Starts Mon, Feb 22, 5:00 PM · Free · Ages 18 and up

About the workshop
Write your own short story from start to finish in this workshop series at the Reading Public Library. The sessions build on each other: the short story and story arc, creating characters, creating setting, and then pacing, readability and voice. The goal is a finished short story of about 10 to 20 pages.
Bring your own notebook and writing materials, or a laptop if you prefer to type. No prior writing experience is needed, so beginners are welcome alongside people who already write.
The series is led by Kristina (Tina) Hartz, a Reading local who works as a writing tutor at Reading Area Community College. Tina holds an associate's degree in creative writing from RACC and a bachelor's in professional writing from Kutztown University, and also leads a writers group at the LGBT Center on the first Friday of each month. Sessions meet in the adult area of the Main Library on South Fifth Street in Reading.
