Kids work with clay in this Halloween-themed ceramics class, making playful projects that are not too spooky. Students hand-build things like jack-o'-lanterns, friendly monsters, witch hats and other silly Halloween decorations.
The class uses easy hand building techniques for both flat tile designs and 3D sculptures. Along the way students explore shapes, textures and small details, and bring their own Halloween ideas to life at a relaxed pace. Rebecca Kline teaches the class.
It is built for ages 5 to 12 and meets on Thursdays for four weeks. All materials are provided, so students just need to come ready to get their hands into the clay. Registration is handled through the Yocum Institute, and the schedule panel on this page lists the current dates.
