Little Artists: Sculpey and Squishies is a hands on class for young children who like to squish, roll and shape things. The focus is three dimensional work, and students use a variety of media including Sculpey, Model Magic and foam.
With step by step instruction, children make miniature characters, fruit, animals and more, and they take their handmade toys home. The work builds fine motor skills and confidence in little artists. The instructor is Nadia Pochan.
The class meets Thursday afternoons for five weeks and is designed for ages 4 to 7. Clothes that can get messy are a good idea. Registration is handled by the Yocum Institute for Arts Education, and tuition is paid at the time of registration.
