About the class
In this workshop at the Yocum Institute for Arts Education, fallen leaves become woodland animals. Students use colorful autumn leaves and other natural materials to make squirrels, hedgehogs, rabbits, birds and other creatures that settle in for the fall.
Along the way, students look at how things found outdoors can be turned into art. The class is built for ages 7 to 12 and meets on a Saturday morning, running about two hours.
