Holiday Just Draw is a drawing class for children at Yocum Institute for Arts Education. Students work with instructor Shawna Hansberry to draw favorite holiday characters, and the group decides together what to draw. Options include Santa Claus, elves, Frosty, the Grinch, angels, wise men and reindeer.
Once a drawing is done, students can add color with markers, colored pencils or watercolor paints. The class meets on Monday evenings from 5 to 6 PM and runs for five weeks, so children take home a set of holiday artwork by the end.
The class is built for young artists who enjoy drawing and want a way to mark the holiday season. To sign up, register for classes through Yocum Institute for Arts Education in West Lawn.
