Young artists draw their favorite holiday characters with instructor Shawna Hansberry. The group may take on Santa Claus, elves, Frosty, the Grinch, angels, wise men or reindeer, and the class decides together which ones to draw.
Once a drawing is done, students can add color with markers, colored pencils or watercolor paints. It is a relaxed way to spend part of the holiday season making art, and each child takes their drawings with them.
The class is for ages 5 to 12 and meets Monday evenings for five weeks, from 5 PM to 6 PM. Register through the Yocum Institute for Arts Education. See the schedule panel for current dates.
