About the course
Kids imagine what kind of house an elf would live in, then build one. First they make an elf figure out of polymer clay or soft air dry clay. Next they create the elf's workshop and fill it with whatever they like, such as a kitchen stocked with homemade treats or a cozy little bed, using tacky glue to hold it all together.
This class is for ages 5 to 12 and meets in the evening for an hour, with sections offered on Mondays and on Wednesdays. Children take home the elf and the small house they build. Clothes that can handle glue and clay are a good idea.
The class is offered by the Yocum Institute for Arts Education in West Lawn. Registration is handled through the Institute, and payment is due when you register. See the schedule panel for current dates and section details.
