Exceptional Aquatics Department

Fish enthusiasts rave about Petco’s aquatics department. As a dedicated fish store, Petco keeps its tanks sparkling clean and its aquatic inhabitants healthy. Visitors comment on “beautiful displays of all tanks” and appreciate the care that goes into maintaining a thriving tropical fish store. The real star of this department is Megan, whose deep knowledge of aquarium setups and exotic species—everything from goldfish to axolotls—has earned her repeated praise. Premium Grooming Services

Petco’s in-store grooming salon transforms pets with style and precision. Clients who book appointments with Kelsey highlight her gentle touch, attention to detail, and knack for calming even the most anxious pups: “She was kind, gentle and made them look perfect.” While some customers note that grooming waits can occasionally stretch into hours without timely updates, the quality of the finished cut often wins them over. Petco’s grooming professionals are trained to handle a variety of breeds, ensuring that each furry friend leaves looking and feeling their best.

Pet Health & Veterinary Care

For pet parents seeking affordable wellness services, Petco’s Vetco Clinic offers budget-friendly vaccinations, routine check-ups, and compassionate care. Many families praise the clinic for making essential preventive care accessible: “Great experience every time we bring our fur babies to the Vetco clinic! It’s a blessing for lower income families.” Although some reviewers mention occasional communication hiccups—such as unclear follow-up on test results—the overall sentiment is positive. With transparent pricing and a no-surprise approach to common procedures, Petco helps you keep your pets healthy without breaking the bank.

Store Cleanliness, Atmosphere & Value

Stepping into Petco Allentown, you’re greeted by a spotless, well-lit environment that invites leisurely browsing. Wide aisles, neatly arranged shelves, and clearly marked sections make finding supplies for dogs, cats, reptiles, or small mammals a breeze. Shoppers routinely comment on how “the store is always clean inside and outside,” praising the inviting atmosphere. The in-store treat bar is a particular highlight: pups love sampling snacks, and owners appreciate that the treats are “priced fairly.” When it comes to pricing and value, Petco balances competitive deals—like price matching and member discounts—with transparent sale promotions. While some customers have noted occasional price fluctuations that seem like “fake” markdowns, the store’s price-match guarantee helps maintain trust.

Stock Availability & Online Accuracy

Pet parents who rely on Petco’s inventory occasionally face frustration: items listed as out of stock in-store or never arriving on shelves. “Shelves are empty… Either they’re not getting their orders in or not enough staff to stock them,” reads one review. However, the Allentown team is proactive about solving these issues, with staff like Dave going the extra mile—literally—to ensure customer satisfaction. In one memorable instance, Dave not only helped a customer choose the perfect crate but also carried it to the car and set it up. When the crate didn’t work out, he disassembled it and processed a refund on the spot. That level of hands-on support highlights Petco’s dedication to service, even when technology or supply chains stumble.
