The American Helicopter Museum & Education Center is a rotorcraft museum in West Chester, PA, with what the museum counts as over forty helicopters, gyroplanes and convertiplanes on display.
The collection runs from a 1940s Sikorsky HOS-1 to a Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey, with a Huey, a Cobra and a Boeing Vertol CH-46E in between, and the museum invites you to climb into the cockpits of several. Admission is $15 for adults and $14 for kids 2 to 12, parking is free, and you can bring a packed lunch for the indoor lunch room or the picnic tables.
Before you go
Free parking for about 50 cars outside the main entrance. Last admission is 4 PM. Packed lunches are welcome; there is an indoor lunch room and picnic tables. Photography of the collection is allowed, and the museum is wheelchair accessible.
