Tyler Arboretum is a 650-acre arboretum in Media, PA, with 17 miles of hiking trails, historic trees and grounds the arboretum dates to 1681.
Seventeen miles of trails cross 650 protected acres of woodland and meadow, with Pink Hill, the Cedar of Lebanon, state champion trees, Lucille's Garden and the Pollinator Preserve as the named stops, plus the Tulip Tree House, Fort Tyler and Thoreau's Cabin, all ADA-accessible. From October 2026 the Steve Tobin: In the Light sculpture exhibition is on view across the grounds through October 2027. Picnics are welcome.
Before you go
Wear comfortable footwear: garden displays are often on turf or mulch, while the Visitor Center to Barn path, the Pond and the Scenic Loop are paved. Bring a picnic (no outside alcohol); the Visitor Center sells drinks and snacks. Tote your own trash.
