West Chester Railroad is a volunteer-run excursion train in West Chester, PA, that carries vintage coaches through the Chester Creek Valley to Glen Mills and back.
Every trip makes a 20 minute stop at the 1880s Glen Mills station, with a picnic grove and the Red Brick Winery next door. The 90 minute Fall Foliage Express runs the Chester Creek Valley in October, and the Santa's Express rides in November and December sell out fast. The railroad is 100 percent volunteer operated.
Before you go
Free parking at the Market Street station. Book online and arrive 15 to 20 minutes early; holiday trains sell out. Coaches are heated but you spend time outside, so dress warm. No restrooms on board. You may bring your own food and drink. Tickets are non-refundable.
