About the event
Abilities in Motion welcomes Technology for Our Whole Lives (TechOWL), a Lehigh Valley based assistive technology program, for an hour long session at its Reading headquarters. The gathering is hosted alongside AIM's Independent Living Advocacy and Support Services Team and focuses on the tools and devices that help people live independently at home, at work, and out in the community.
Presenters are Bryan Cohen, Lead Coordinator of Accessibility and Related Programs at the Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living, and Ashley Patete, Support Coordinator of the assistive technology project. Together they will walk attendees through what assistive technology covers and how local residents can connect with it.
The session takes place at 755 Hiesters Lane in Reading and is open at no cost. It is a good fit for anyone curious about assistive technology, including individuals with disabilities, family members, caregivers, and area service providers.
